Wow.

WOW.

....*strokes LJ fondly, assuring that it is in fact still loved and not abandoned*

Soooo....I'm back from my six month stint at Disney World! Ha! Hahaha. Ha. Hmm. It be a vair vair distracting place, y'all, and I was quite thoroughly Alice in Wonderland. I'm actually still employed seasonally by the company, proud of that fact, and intending to go back soon. I'll probably be there at least once a year from now until forever. There is just nothing like finding the place you want to be at for the rest of your life. ♥

I was actually not intending to make a post tonight; I wandered onto ElJay by link surfing from Amazon and finding an author's page (Lisa Mantchev - check her out). Buuuttttt I felt I needed to, lest my poor journal feel anymore forgotten. :( A legitimate post with pictures and stories and probably loads of book and movie reviews will be around soon. :D

Love!

SO OMG YOU GUIZE! I'm posting this from my newly acquired Blackberry Bold! With unlimited internets! Whaaaaaaat!

:D

I've never had a phone where I could use the internet before, so I'm pretty frikken excited. I didn't even realize I'd be this excited - ha! I feel like a cool kid!

Other particularly noteworthy and exciting happenings include:

* As mentioned last night, a beloved coworker-turned-manager-turned-friend of mine, a miss Natalie M, is now engaged. ^_^ I'm so pleased for her, she is one of the greatest, most genuine people to know and love, and I really, really was overjoyed when I saw her post the news online last night. :)

* This announcement was quickly (within ten minutes) followed by Rachel's brother-in-law posting that her sister's water had broke, and they were headed to the hospital! Cue the entire family devolving into hysterics over the first grandbaby. Madelyn Ann was born this morning at 4 AM, a week and some change early but otherwise perfect. :D

And that's about it for now, folks. I'm going to let this baby get charged, watch the sunset, and enjoy reading some fanfics in bed tonight instead of Wuthering Heights...because it kind of freaks me out in places (anyone else, or just me?).

Yesterday I go to the dentist for my filling. I get two full syringes of the deadening stuff...and that's not enough, so I have to ask for a third one. ♥ I just love my body's inability to be helped by pain medication.

So, we have a shot to the roof of my mouth that hurts like a $##&(%^$#% - ? Check.

Today, I go in for my pre-moving doctor's appointment just to make sure stuff is good and stuff. I needed a asdfghjkl;'ing Tetanus shot. And now my left arm is trying to absorb the poisonmedicine and it's sore, which apparently, will last through tomorrow. Fun facts!

I'm not leaving the house tomorrow. For my own safety. (except maybe to pick up the acne medication that they couldn't fill at the pharmacy today, but only one of the two, because the other one is $382 for an effing 30-day supply - no, I'm not kidding. And it was an antibiotic. Wth?)

Planning some silly stuff for the vlog tomorrow (we might see the return of the action figures, hmmm!). It's been pretty boring so far - [info]bakabaka16 can attest to that. x'D Much love for following my dullness. You too, evil boss-chan. I'll do gooder evilz! I prooommiissseee!!

Going to go pack up some stuff for Florida - some clothes (the non-wrinkly ones) and things I won't be using till I get there. Then I'll edit today's vlog and either watch a movie or write. Probably I should write. Which means I'll end up watching a movie.

The cycle continues!

Firstly, Happy Birthday to meeeee! Ha! :D

Second, behold, my foray into the world of vlogging. The quality will go up drastically for tomorrow's video because I'm intending to use natural lighting. Which means I'll have to leave to Batcave with the lappy to do it - le gasp! (Or like, use my video camera. That would probably be easier. Uhm...yeah.)

Thirdily-werdily, Kishimoto, you have thoroughly broken my heart. ;_; I knew you had an epic love story in you somewhere.

Quatre, my current song? The shizz. Absolutely the shizz. Her voice is so powerful and stunning and I hate her, really. And she can write one helluva song (i.e. Howl).

Tomorrow = shopping for car mats for Lucy (Yeah, that's the new car. I name all of my stuff, stfu.), hopefully polishing off the chapter of The Neverland Theory I've been working on this week, filming a vlog (so weird to get used to), and generally basking in summer. =D

...and not thinking about the tooth filling I'm scheduled for on Monday morning. Boooooo.

My parents make me never want to get married. They suck the joy out of everything. After being gone all weekend, and having to come home to this same-old I'm-going-to-make-your-life-hell-for-no-reason-who-even-knows-why-we're-married routine, I really regret not staying away longer.

I'll miss the backyard more than them.

Maybe that's why I'm writing so much today. I feel fourteen and powerless again. Escapism; it's always been my way to deal. That's probably not healthy. Hmmm.

(This all sounds rather depressing, but really, I'm just putting it down "on paper" so I don't have to think on it anymore tonight. I keep looking forward to the moving date.)

I think I will go spend some time in the backyard. At night, the wild rabbits come out and scavenge the yard. It's fun to watch. :)

Still going through Yillenhoolahay movies like nobodies business. I mean, Jesus, who has eyes like that? Who? But more on that in a later post when I get around to typing up reviews. Because I have been watching a lot - and I mean a lot - of movies lately.

Sure, it started as your not-so-unusual celebrity crush moviethon, but then it inspired a sort of cinematic awakening, I guess you could call it. I have been watching movies left and right, any free chance I get! All the ones I can't believe I haven't seen before, such as Lost In Translation (omg, I know, 'How?!' right?) and Breakfast At Tiffany's (it pained me too, at the realization). I am obsessed with movies. Utterly. I live on IMDB.

This is all Jake's fault, goddamn that endless supply of charm and talent.

Back in the real world, I only have eight days left of being employed at yon Rue21, then a month and some change of down-time with the family before I pack up the essentials and head east. I'm ready for the next challenge in my life; it feels too easy here these days. Aside from all the drama, nothing happens here. They're finally finishing up construction on the loop. Whoop-de-freaking-doo, you know?

I'll probably miss it once I'm gone for a few weeks. There's something very freeing to have this as my backyard.

Home. ♥

I'll have to get around to a picture post as well as more movie reviews. I haven't posted pictures on here in ages. There is one on my bio page from a few months back, but that's about it. I haven't finished sorting through my vaca photos, either. Should maybe probably definitely do that soon. Yup.

Was supposed to be in Oklahoma for a family reunion on my mom's German side, but due to recent-flooding up there and being broke, we aren't going. :/ But since I already asked off and had to work my ass of this week to get it, I'm pretending that's where I am, because there is no way in hell I'm going in this weekend. And the fam from Austin came up today since none of us are going, so it's not a total lie - I did get together with my relatives. :P

Saw Toy Story 3 last night; it was everything good and wonderful in the world. :D I laughed. I cried. I laughed until I cried. It completely deserves the ratings/prestige it has gathered as a movie, and also as a trilogy. To finish that strong is unprecedented.

Growing up with Andy has been fun. :)

More Yillenhoolahay movie reviews. I'm on a roll, man. )

Now I'm off to work-out, shower, and watch Moonlight Mile. I'm a Susan Sarandon fan as well as a Gyllenhaalic, so I've been looking forward to this one. :)

So, before I say anything else, who's down for flying to Switzerland with me? Tomorrow? It looks like an incredible amount of fun. :D

Anyway.

Not only did I find Yillenhoolahay movies by the handful at Hollywood Video, I found them for $6-$10 bucks, including Donnie Darko new. I had to resist the urge to spend sixty bucks on some movies I hadn't even seen yet, so instead I just bought three - Donnie Darko, Proof, and Zodiac - for $19.46. Nice, right? I thought so, at least.

Loved, loved Donnie Darko - I've already watched it twice and gone through all the special features. The 20 deleted/extended scenes really add to it. I might have to find the director's cut edition. Rachel and I were clutching various stuffed animals and pillows throughout the movie, our facial expressions usually stuck on: o_o That movie is beyond words. The writer/director is possibly a genius. The cast, not just Jake, were perfect. Seth Rogen was so much thinner! Dude!

Proof was a good movie as well, although not nearly as absorbing as Darko, even though we watched it first. Gwyneth Paltrow really owned that movie. Anthony Hopkins was fantastic, too. Two sentences of a spoilery nature. )

Jake seemed a little superfluous in the movie, honestly. Complete eye-candy, and a little bit of comic relief, but mostly just a distraction from the story. I think it would've made more sense if the film had focused on a broader ranger of Gwyneth's character's life than it did - because he's obviously played a minor role in it, and should now play a bigger one. But in the context of the movie it's a little off.

Eh. What do I know? :P

So now I'm going.... watch the commentary version of Donnie Darko. Haha! Shut-up. It's infinitely re-watchable. Zodiac will probably follow. Then I'll need more Yillenhoolahay movies. good thing I already ordered two more on Amazon

Worked a freaking ton of hours over the weekend - nine yesterday, geezus - and I have one more shift tonight before three days off in a row! Originally, I had today off as well, but bah. More hours equals more cash which equals more groceries for me when I move to Florida.

Or Jake Gyllenhaal movies.

Can you believe that I have never seen one of his movies, except for PoP? Seriously. None. I looked over the list on IMDB and I haven't even seen Donnie Darko. Although, I might have seen it, when I was younger, because it seems very familiar to me. Then again, I watched a lot of creepy-ass movies when I was a kid that I fell in love with when I got older (Hocus Pocus, Labyrinth, Beetlejuice, etc.). Here's hoping Darko is one of them, cause I'ma totally rent that tonight.

Rachel and I are having a Gyllethon movie night tonight! Because we're both flabbergasted as to how we haven't seen any of his movies. This movie night, however, is riding on me finding a place that still rents movies in Temple. Our Blockbuster is already closed, and Hollywood Videos is gutting itself out. Take 1 on the other side of town is still open, I just hope they have a decent enough selection.

We could always rent Brokeback Mountain. Rachel might kill me, though. (We'd be bawling until the wee hours of the morning.)

I'm thinking Donnie Darko, and Proof or The Good Girl or Lovely & Amazing. I really want to see the last one, but I very much doubt I'll find it at Take 1.

We'll just have to see what I can get home with. Better get on that before I have to be at work. Poop.
